Local Group Keeping 4-H in Preble County

Do you care what happens to the Preble County youth 4-H program? A new not-for profit organization called Friends of Preble County 4-H, Inc. has formed. The goal of the organization is to provide long term proactive solutions to the funding shortfalls of 4-H and the agriculture services at the local level.

The lack of funding at the county level has led to a reduction in staff at our local OSU extension office. This has had a direct impact on the local 4-H program. It is now the time for the community to get involved. Financial assistance is needed to continue to support youth programs at the local level.

Other counties in Ohio are in the same financial crisis and are taking a similar approach. Many counties have already set up endowments to assist with the funding of their local youth programs. Preble County is no different.

The Friends of Preble County 4-H, Inc. is actively seeking members that are willing to be supportive partners in making a solid investment in our youth today to create leaders for tomorrow. Every dollar raised will be kept local and spent local.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $70,000. To meet our goal The Friends of Preble County 4-H, Inc. is asking for your support. Anyone can become a member at www.friendsofpreblecounty4h.org. Contributions made payable to Friends of Preble County 4-H, Inc can be mailed to Friends of Preble County 4-H, Inc., P.O. Box 524 Eaton, OH 45320.
